“Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,” which means, “God is with us.”
Pastor Tricia Lowe
Pastor Tricia Lowe was called to be the pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in 2018. She was born the middle of three children in a military family and traveled many places until her father retired in Alaska.
After working as a preschool music teacher and a HR person at Mattel, she answered the call to ministry and finished her undergraduate degree in vocal performance from Cal State Dominguez Hills and then attended Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA and graduated with her Master of Divinity from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkley, CA.
Her first call was as Youth and Family Associate Pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Schools in North Hollywood, CA. She is delighted that she didn’t have to learn a new church name when she answers the phone at her Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prescott Valley, AZ!

Welcome to Emmanuel Lutheran
We are an inclusive faith community that seeks to live the Word and the Way of Christ’s unconditional love. This means that, like Christ, we believe each person is a beloved child of God regardless of shape, size, economic status, religious background, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender identity, or anything else that could divide us. We give thanks for the unique identities with which we are created and have found here a fellowship of believes that accepts us just as we are. Come worship with us and enjoy full participation in all aspects of our life together, including baptism, confirmation, communion, marriage, and burial.
As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, we advocate for systemic change in policy and practice in church and society, working to alleviate not only the painful symptoms of oppression but also to eliminate its root causes. We are committed to the work of racial equality and creating an anti-racist space in our congregation and community. We strive to do our best to live by our welcome statement and our anti-racism commitment. We know that loving our neighbor means all our neighbors, not just the ones who are exactly like us.
We have a fun job: thinking up and executing deeds of welcome from writing and artwork to activities, from researching to implementation of Lutheran practices we never knew existed. We try to be positive and optimistic in everything we do because we carry good news!
